Playwright and producer, Mart Crowley has passed away at the age of 84. He began his career as Natalie Wood's personal assistant, and it was with her encouragement that he wrote the ground-breaking play, The Boys in the Band, one of the first plays to depict openly gay characters. It premiered off-Broadway in 1968, running for over 1000 performances, and was revived on Broadway in 2018, winning a Tony Award. William Friedkin directed the screen version in 1970. Although there is already a thread dedicated to him it should be noted that Max Von Sydow is no longer with us (although his work will always remain with us). Thanks, Max.

Actor Lyle Waggoner has passed away at the age of 84. He appeared in beach party movies in the mid-1960s and starred as Steve Trevor on the Wonder Woman TV series, but he's best known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show. He began as the smooth-voiced announcer for the variety show, but his "tall, dark and handsome" persona and comedic talents enabled him to join the ensemble cast. R.I.P., and thanks for all the laughs.
