So this thread matters even less than any other. This thread actually matters a lot. Many MCU fans here often say that I lumped MCU fans together into 1 category and that not all MCU fans are alike. So I'm giving MCU fans here a chance to voice their individual opinions. 1 MCU fan has insisted that 18 out of 19 (a 95% success rate and a 5% failure rate) is better than 17 out of 17 (a 100% success rate and a 0% failure rate). So he thinks that letting 1 hostage die is acceptable. I'm asking if the rest of the MCU fans here feel the same. Half the posts in this asinine thread are yours. Is this really how you choose to spend your time? Sad.

They made a movie about the Djibouti rescue because it was considered a success. WOW! You really are an idiot. They didn't make the movie because it was considered a success. How the fuck is a child being killed by terrorists considered a success? There are plenty of movies made not because it was considered a success but because it was a tragedy. And that's what this movie was. A child was killed by terrorists. That's a tragedy, not a success. The children who's lives were saved say otherwise. 30 saved. That is why the operation is considered a success. Did you even watch the movie or ever read anything about the operation? Only a total douche would condemn the men (heroes) who saved 30 children because they did not measure up to your ridiculous standard of "perfection". You should probably fuck off now. You make me sick.

So this thread matters even less than any other. This thread actually matters a lot. Because dcfan couldn't win an argument on the sports board about who holds the longest single season undefeated streak in NFL history. (It's the NE Patriots, BTW) Holy crap! It's a crisis of mammoth proportions! ... for dcfan. 1 "MCU fan" (on the sports board) has insisted that winning 18 games in a row is more impressive than winning 17 games in a row. Losing a 19th game does not suddenly elevate 17 over 18. For some reason dcfan can't accept that simple fact, so he has come to the MCU board to continue the argument under the guise of a hostage rescue by superheroes ... and in typical dcfan fashion, manages to completely botch the comparison in his very first post. It has been all downhill from there. I'd like to apologize to the MCU board for perpetuating this thread. The premise was so stupid (even for dcfan), I just couldn't resist.

Maybe more than any other thread, this proves how diseased you are.
Also, it looks like you started a bunch of troll threads on this board on Christmas. It's so hilariously, pathetically, uniquely you. I really wish you had friends, family, hobbies, anything to fill the emptiness in your life. Not so much for you, but at least we wouldn't have to deal with this nonsense anymore.
Yours is a desperation I can't begin to fathom.

Why don't you just tell us which scenario we should choose so we can hurry up and close this thread down. Seeing as how you're incapable of seeing any viewpoint other than your own, there's no point in discussing this or anything with you any further.

So since he obviously won't answer the question, let's try and figure it out.
He keeps saying that some mysterious set of MCU fans are saying this whole 18 out of 19 thing so clearly it has something to do with the MCU films or heroes.
That means, since it's DC-Fan, that the 17 out of 17 is something to do with the DCEU, or at least DC comics films overall.
He's using this hostage thing as an example, and used sports on the other board, so it's probably not literally "Batman saved 17 people and Captain America let one person die!!!" So it's probably not that literal.
My theory is it's about either the Rotten tomatoes scores, or perhaps the financials.
There were 19 MCU movies up to and including Infinity War. Not sure what the 17 might relate to for DCEU...
Anybody else got any theories?

The 72 Dolphins 17-0 Super Bowl winning season, or the 08?, maybe 07?, Patriots that went 18-0 and then lost the Super Bowl. Why a Cowboys fan is so obsessed with the Pats is beyond me. Any true Cowboys fan should have been rooting FOR the Pats. They played the Giants and Eagles in 3 of those games. He should dislike those teams more than the Patriots. They are division rivals. For myself as a Raiders fan, I would root for any team playing the Chiefs, Broncos, or Chargers.

But the Patriots are known serial cheaters and I can't root for cheaters because rooting for players/teams that cheat instead of putting in the hard work like other players/teams would be a huge slap in the face to all the players/teams that didn't cheat and actually earned their championships by putting in the hard work. Basically, rooting for cheaters and frauds like the Patriots is like rooting for a fraud like Bernie Madoff to be acquitted of cheating thousands of people out of their hard-earned money.

Because an MCU fan said 18 out of 19 (a 95% success rate, 5% failure rate) is better than 17 out of 17 (a 100% success rate, 0% failure rate). So I'm just asking if the rest of the MCU fans here feel the same way. I think you're making that story up. In any case, your question lacks context. Better in what? I'm not making any story up. The following are things that some MCU fans on this forum have said and I'm just asking if the rest of the MCU fans here agree: 1. An MCU fan says that 18 out of 19 (a 95% success rate and a 5% failure rate) is better than 17 out of 17 (a 100% success rate and a 0% failure rate). So I'm asking if the rest of the MCU fans here agree. If you save 18 of 19 hostages and 1 dies, is that better than saving 17 out of 17 hostages and no one dies. If a D.A. convicts 19 defendants but only 18 defendants were actually guilty and 1 of the defendants was innocent, is that better than a D.A. convicting 17 defendants and all 17 defendants were actually guilty? 2. An MCU fan says that if I have breakfast at a buffet in Vegas and I order a coffee, milk, orange juice, and tea to start and then later I ask the waitress "Can I have another orange juice?", that's an incorrect use of the word " another" because only 1 of my many drinks before was an orange juice so I can't ask for another orange juice because that wouldn't make any sense. So I'm asking if the rest of the MCU fans here agree that's an incorrect use of the word " another" and I can't ask for another orange juice because only 1 of my many drinks before was an orange juice. 3. An MCU fan says that when a King is killed, if a new King hasn't been coronated yet because there are still multiple claimants to the throne, then the dead King is still King. So I'm asking if the rest of the MCU fans here agree that a dead King remains King if a new King hasn't been coronated yet. These are all true examples and I'm asking if the rest of the MCU fans here agree with them.

Wow...one MCU fan really rubbed you up the wrong way It's supposedly 2 MCU fans, but I suspect it's just 1 MCU fan and his sock account since both are always posting the same crap. But you didn't answer the questions. Do you agree with the MCU fan (or the 2 MCU fans) in all 3 examples?

Wow...one MCU fan really rubbed you up the wrong way LOL, no kidding. DC-Fan lost each of those arguments, so now he's intentionally mischaracterizing (lying about) what that MCU fan said. That's all you need to know that he got pwned big time ... and he knows it! ... and he better be careful. Our Admin has already told him there are no socks associated with this MCU fan, and our mod has warning him about his repeated unfounded sock accusations. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him a little time out to consider the errors of his ways.

Wow...one MCU fan really rubbed you up the wrong way Looks like King Kong Shady is still upset that I predicted the Patriots would go one and done (lose their 1st playoff game) last Saturday and I was right. Now Brady's career has ended, with back-to-back embarrassing losses, and King Kong Shady is still in denial. LOL!!!
