The rest was wasting high draft picks on busts. JP Losman, EJ Manuel. And wasting other draft picks on busts. Nathan Peterman, Cardale Jones, Trent Edwards. And wasting years trying to develop these busts. They kept trying to find a QB in the bargain bin. I really think it was due to Tom Brady. "The Patriots got him in the 6th Round, why can't we find another?' Josh Allen is the highest drafted QB is Bills history @ #7
How do you feel about Allen? He played fearless football yesterday, really shined most of the time. But those sacks he took toward the end of the game were brutal, and that attempted lateral was maybe the dumbest single football play I've ever seen, rookie or not. His arm strength is off the charts but I'd be worried he'll rely on it instead of becoming a better decision maker.

He's like Nook LaLoosh in Bull Durham, "a million dollar arm and a five cent head" (or something like that). He tries too hard, pure and simple. That's going to be one of the biggest questions of the off season, can that be fixed? If he's fucking up games like that next year, the fans will lose patience with him and he will be Mitchell Trubitsky. The offensive line let him down, that has to be strengthened in the offseason. And he needs a go to receiver. Brown and Beasley were fine but they need a Julio Jones type. They have all the draft picks (and have been drafting well recently) and $88,000,000 in cap space. But if this team regresses in 2020, it will get ugly up here.

I don't think the butt fumble was a dumb decision by Sanchez, it was just poorly excecuted and looked really stupid. You can see exactky what he was trying to do, it just fell apart in the dumbest looking way possible. That lateral yesterday deserves to be in the pantheon of just idiotic decisions by a QB. There was also an INT by Brandon Weeden in Cleveland that was far dumber than any decisions made in the lead up to the butt fumble.

Indifferent.
Guy is 42.
They won their 6th Super Bowl 11 months ago.
Football gods delivered a swift & painless conclusion. Wild Card game, out coached by Vrabel, 1st & forever with 9 seconds at their 1. Pick 6 that meant nothing to a former Pat... I mean, it's pretty funny in a fateful way.
2 decades of dominance, I'm owed absolutely nothing.
I'm a bit indifferent because in a weird way, I wouldn't mind the next era (for better or worse) to hurry up & start. Though it's probably at least 2yrs away until it gets going. I'm looking forward to a new franchise QB to develop, & hopefully they get another stud tight end to match. That works for me in Madden, & it worked with Gronk.

I feel lucky to have lived thru it. I imagine it was kind of similar to living thru all those Red Auerbach Celts teams, UCLA teams. I admire Brady for what he's accomplished and never understood the hate some had for him other than haters just love to hate the elite. The deep perspective on me, & I'm sure others as well, is what I was doing in 2001 when the run started. I remember the tuck rule game, watching with my blinds open cuz it was snowing here also (Toronto) & it looked awesome. I remember that Super Bowl, I had to work until 7pm, & rushed to get wings on my way home... I missed their first iconic TD catch. So yeah... that was 2 lifetimes ago. I'm good.

The best thing about this is hearing Pats fans take the perspective that Steelers fans have had from the 70s that Pats fans made fun of. Now you're like the Niners and us (if this is truly the end).

Not entirely sure what you are talking about. Are you referring to the kinda pathetic reminiscing of a by-gone era by fans of teams that have been utter failures for the last twenty years? The Steelers don't really apply. The 49ers do. The Cowboys do. Dolphins. Maybe the Packers. Come back in 20 years before you can qualify the lumping of Pats fans into the same category.

I'm lumping you in with the Steelers. You'll always have the DVDs. Super Bowl XIII highlights from NFL Films still make me happy.

I voted “other”. I’ve enjoyed watching the Pats play and I’ve never disliked them, and they’ve had some terrific players and have played in many exciting games, so if this is the end, and I think it likely is, I’ll miss the excitement the Pats brought, but I’ll also be glad to see the other teams in the AFC East get a chance to make the playoffs and the division will be more competitive and exciting.

Right Now, My answer is "Other".
I really want to wait and see what ends up happening with Tom Brady this off-season.
