This is an example of how far vermin will go to try and convince us that nothing is going on except overactive imaginations. Something happened to the Hills on that night, something they didn't ask for. The movie with James Earl Jones and Estelle Parsons was accurate in that Betty was quite willing to talk about it while Barney wanted to keep it quiet. Betty Hill's NavelIncidentally, I saw "Invaders from Mars" back in the 1980's, and the Tobe Hooper remake which wasn't bad as remakes go. Special thanks to PaulsLaugh for inspiring me to start this thread which I meant to start a month or two ago but never did. I won't bother to tag you, Paul. You'll see it. You see everything.

THE
I would have to restudy the Hill's case to answer you properly. But as the powers that be have told pilots, keep your mouth shut after you have made a report.

... Incidentally, I saw "Invaders from Mars" back in the 1980's, ... I saw that film back in the 60's. The one thing that sticks out in my mind is that the zippers on the back of the alien costumes was clearly visible.

Even if the Hills never saw the film, they lived in a culture that was awash with various versions of the same imagery. That's all it takes for this stuff to implant itself in your subconscious. Since the weirder stuff only started coming out through hypnosis, which has been proven to be an unreliable method of getting accurate information, and since it has also been proven to be a source of made up bullshit, anything that comes out of a UFO case via hypnosis can and should be rejected. It doesn't mean she was lying, it just means she was being manipulated, perhaps not even on purpose.

None of what the Hills alleged happened would have been out of place in a 50's SF film. Most of the details of what supposedly ensued was recovered from dreams and hypnosis (which at times did not match up) two years later. As late as 1977, Betty Hill would go on UFO vigils at least three times a week. During one evening she was joined by UFO enthusiast John Oswald. When asked about Betty's continuing UFO observations, Oswald stated, "She is not really seeing UFOs, but she is calling them that." On the night they went out together, "Mrs. Hill was unable to distinguish between a landed UFO and a streetlight". In 1995, Betty Hill wrote a self-published book, A Common Sense Approach to UFOs. It is filled with obviously delusional stories, such as seeing entire squadrons of UFOs in flight and a truck levitating above the freeway. Just saying.
Going by the number of abductions and humanoid encounters reported down the years (I highly recommend Albert S Rosales' multi-volume survey of the latter btw) Earth appears to be a Galactic Times Square for such things. Unfortunately despite the modern preponderance of a camera in every phone there has been no photographic evidence... neither do the aliens encountered ever seem exactly the same . Just saying.

Reading between the lines here, I get the subtle impression that you don't believe the Hills were abducted. Is that fair to say?

Reading between the lines here, I get the subtle impression that you don't believe the Hills were abducted. Is that fair to say? Of course they weren't. The idea that an advanced civilization with the technology to travel across the stars or through dimensions would a) need to or b) bother to do the things described by "abductees" is stupid beyond belief.
That doesn't mean they made anything up, by the way. I think most of these people are sincere but being manipulated through hypnoses, not even purposely, to jointly create false memories.

But what if.....just what if.....they don't really come from across the stars? ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/hxqpy3zq1/eek.gif) You never even thought of that possibility, did you, Mr. Smart Guy?

That's the only possibility that anyone who looks at the evidence seriously considers, shithead. Check out Jacques Valee.

What is more common: people shown lying or proven alien abductions? I expanded my earlier reply to give examples of Betty Hill's reliability as a witness of UFOs and the source of much of her story. It is does not inspire confidence.
