It was definitely no Subnautica. And since the makers think they are making a gritty horror film, the lighting is very dark. So dark that it's hard for the viewer to see what's on screen. Instead we get a remake of Alien with the ocean replacing outer space. I was the only one in the theatre. They didn't even turn off the lights. I had to get out of my seat and flip the light switch next to the entrance. But it makes no difference. It mostly takes place in underwater corridors as oppose to in the actual water itself. Also the monsters in this film are the same in everyway from the ones in A Quiet Place. The design is uncanny. They even make the same sound.

Is it better than other Underwater Movies like The Abyss, Deep Blue Sea, Sphere, Leviathan, and DeepStar Six ?

To hell with Deep Blue Sea and no The Abyss is still king. James Cameron knows his visuals haven't seen the others. Even 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea is better.

Oh I Agree about The Abyss being the King and NOBODY is ever gonna take The Crown away from it.
NOT EVER!

4/10 the monsters in this film are the same in everyway from the ones in A Quiet Place. The design is uncanny. They even make the same sound. Well, they're actually based on H.P. Lovecraft's stories.
