Let's pretend that in an alternate universe, these two ladies switched their superhero acting roles. Gal Gadot plays Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel and Brie Larson plays Diana in Wonder Woman. Nothing else is changed in the movies. Same director, same script, same co-stars, same everything. The only change is the actresses playing the lead roles.
Who does a better job playing their new characters? What pros and cons do each bring to their new characters compared to the original actress who played the character? Will either of them improve the sales or ratings of their movies?

I think Brie would do a better job because she's a better actor. Gal is okay as an actor, but she ain't ever winning an Oscar.

Hard to say. I think Brie would do a better job playing Wonder Woman than Gal Gadot would playing Captain Marvel, but I also think casting Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman is one of the standout casting decisions of the decade.
Gal Gadot made the Wonder Woman role. God they must have been thrilled when she showed up to audition. She looks like a Wonder Woman. Lets not sugarcoat it, a human became Captain Marvel. A goddess became Wonder Woman. The casting reflected this.
I can't even swap them in my mind's eye.

Well Carol is American and Gal can't do an accent so that could be a problem.

Dont think much of either of them. Gadot is prettier obviously, kinda like the new Portman but Portman is still better

As far as acting goes, I'd say Larson is the Celine Dion to Gadot's Selina Gomez. 🎵🎸🎶🎸😈

Well I think Larson would do a better WW, but both would be sorely miscast.

Nothing about Brie Larson, no matter how much better of an actress she is in comparison, screams Wonder Woman to me, likewise nothing about Gal Gadot screams Captain Marvel for me either.

I could see Brie as Wonder Woman. She’s not a better fit than Gadot though. I really can’t see Gadot as Captain Marvel. She’d be more of a Gamora type.

Both already feel miscast to me in their own movies. But I think they would've both failed miserably in each other's roles.
