I saw this film recently and thought it was really good. Apparently so did Ebert. 8/10
Has anyone else here seen this overlooked gem?

I enjoy most of Spader's films. I still remember the first time I saw him in Tuff Turf in 1985.

A pretty enjoyable thriller. Both Spader and Lowe are good.

A terrific thriller! I used to watch it all the time back in the 90s on vhs. James Spader is superb as always and Rob Lowe was delightfully sinister in his role. I'm so glad Shout! Factory released it on blu. I've had it on my wishlist for a while now; I'm sure I'll pick it up soon... though I'd like to find a good alternative to Amazon now.

Familiar, but diverting thriller that's carried along by the dynamics of Rob Lowe and James Spader.

Got a hold of this film several years ago while it at first seemed like a "typical" late night cable flick, but decided to get it on the DVD last year and recently re-watched. And while not a classic, it still comes off as a bit of an overlooked little gem with a good cast, and a plot that rarely goes wrong, with the naive yuppie doing a deal with the devil, and it sure came with some great surprises along the way. Good atmosphere, music, locations and surely one of the better late night thrillers of the early 90s.

Never seen it. Are there any hot women starring in it? or any sex scenes?

Sex scenes are included. Also you get a great upbeat and sultry soundtrack (by Trevor Jones) with lots of sleazy saxophones lurking around, a yuppie apartment that even Patrick Bateman would admire, and of course several hot women, such as Marcia Cross and the stunning Lisa Zane:

Haven't seen it in a really long time. Due for a rewatch. Also want to rewatch White Place (1990). Spader was excellent in both of them.

'white palace' was my guilty pleasure when I was a kid. I also hadn't the faintest clue what the movie was about. I guess I liked the volvo vehicle and the sex scenes. The thing is I was going through puberty when I saw it and 'Thelma and louise'
