Willis Reed he's not. I don't expect athletes to play with broken bones or torn muscles, but I just read a story about how Jacob DeGrom broke a fingernail last week -- a fucking fingernail -- and now Blake Griffin is out of the playoffs with an injury, again. ESPN describes it as "an injury to the plantar plate of his right big toe," and CBS uses similarly vague language, then calls it "a stubbed toe." A story in the LA Times is more specific, saying x-rays show the toe is "bruised but not broken." So this isn't a planar tear or anything like that, it's literally a bruised toe. I'm sorry, but we're talking about a guy who is constantly out with injuries and screwed the Clippers last postseason with an injury, so you'd think maybe there would be at least some discussion of playing through it, or resting him a few days and seeing if he can play again. He certainly could play through it, and in a former era he would have, even if he wasn't expected to be as explosive. But no...this vagine stubs his toe, and he's out for the entire postseason. WTF? I guess Luc-Richard Mbah a Moute is gonna have to step up.

He changed the course of the Clippers franchise since he was drafted. "Screwed them with an injury" is too much, like he's somehow to blame.
They were never getting past the Warriors anyway.

Chris Paul changed the course of the Clippers franchise. The team wins without Griffin; it does not win without Paul. That's the only reason why they're still in this series.

Interesting that there hasn't been more discussion about this in the media. I haven't read any writers question whether Griffin really needs to be out at all, let alone for the ENTIRE postseason. Hopefully tonight's loss to the Jazz will make some people ask just how bad the injury is, really. The Clippers need to explain this.

Some of you guys are out of your minds. Clippers were a .390 team the year before CP3 arrived. They're a sub-.500 team when he's not in the lineup.
If CP3 was out but Griffin was healthy, do you think anyone would be giving the Clips a shot to advance?
