Price and Kershaw aren’t exactly Johnson and Schilling in the post-season. Walker Buehler has been awesome the past 2 years and he'll be 26 this year. Even a lesser Kershaw like we saw last year is pretty damm good and better than most other pitchers on a given night. Ryu as a #3 is solid, provided he's healthy. I think the Dodgers plan on keeping Julio Urias in the rotation next year and he was solid last year with splitting time between the bullpen and starting. It's not the best rotation in the game but it should be plenty good enough to win with that lineup. What's amazing about the Dodgers, as tristam mentioned, is that they kept their top prospects. It seems like every year the Dodgers bring someone up who contends for the ROY, without fail. And their farm system is still stacked. Meanwhile, the Mets trade two guys for Edwin Diaz and Robbie Cano and that's it, the farm is completely depleted. It's remarkable.

Not to hijack this thread but I read an article called something like “Six reasons the Angels haven’t won a playoff game during Mike Trout’s tenure” and one of them was how in every year he’s been there the Angels’ farm system has been rated last or second to last. To have a generational talent like Trout and not build around that, they should be executed and then fired. Look at the years the Phillies were good. Rollins, Utley, Howard, Hamels, and Ruiz were all home grown. Kudos to teams like the Dodgers and Braves and apparently now the Yankees for constantly having stacked systems.

It's infuriating just how well run the Braves are. Signing Donaldson to a 1 year deal, and the same this year for Ozuna, getting Will Smith for the bullpen, locking up Albies and Acuna for their arbitration and early FA years, their ability to continually draft and develop young players, not getting too bogged down with bloated contracts on aging players, locking up Freddie Freeman. I'm sure smurfbate can name a few mis-fires but from an outsider's view, I wish my team was run half as competently.

What about the Cardinals? My list wasn’t all-inclusive, I just named a few teams off the top of my head. To me the Cardinals are a team that can somehow win the World Series every year no matter how their roster is comprised.

And because they haven't given up their prospects, if the pitching is felt to be lacking at the All-Star Break, they have the ability to make a trade to bring in pitching.

It's because everyone behind the scenes for the Angels are morons. They should absolultely be fired. In reality, baseball as a whole is run by morons. They don't market it correctly. You have the Michael Jordan of baseball playing right now and MLB does nothing. It's criminal.

OK, maybe they were wise not overpaying for Cole and Strasburg, but why not take a flyer on Dallas Keuchel or Hyun Jin Ryu? They have an awesome lineup but it won't be enough. The AL West is tough. Houston won't have the dropoff everyone expects. The A's are a tough team with good young talent. Texas is improving. How many 12-10 games can the Halos win?

Lets not forget, the Angels are the team that say they're from Los Angeles, despite literally have zero to do with LA. They're not even in LA county. I have yet to hear one explanation how this makes them money. It's the dumbest thing ever.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. To me, the Blue Jays are like the void of baseball. The players there basically don't exist unless and until they're traded elsewhere. I guess Ross Stripling or Dustin May can duke it out for the last rotation spot.

Are you dissing my country! * Shakes fist in anger!*Never been a Blow Jays fan myself. They had my interest in the Donaldson/Bautista/EE era, then they gave AA the boot and returned to being a joke.
