She wants birds of prey movie to be more like X-Men Logan. she thinks MCU are amusement rides with the same story over and over again.
Birds of prey will be better than captain marvel.

So some gut whose opinion is important because he reads extracts from a feature and decides to interpret them how he wants is worth a thread? Here is exactly what was said Don't see a Marvel criticism there. What I do see is another attempt to have a dig at the MCU, give yourself a self congratulatory chubby and remind people who don't care that you exist.

I don't hate the DCEU, but I always thought it was funny that the DCEU director who went over the top in his "f*** the MCU" talk was the one who directed the only DCEU movie that I truly did hate, and that's David Ayer. My man was out there feeling strong, and then his movie turned out to be a pile of crap. As for Birds of Prey, I'll be seeing it this weekend, and I have high hopes.

No she said she took inspiration from the least flashy major CBM prior to Joker and said he made a mash up style movie part this part that, and that's cool, it's also what the MCU had done repeatedly, GOTG is a space opera, Ant Man is a heist film, Homecoming is a coming of age flick, Ragnarok is a flat out comedy, Winter Soldier is an espionage thriller all mixed in with MCU big budget comic book movie flare, they aren't just "theme park" ride movies, there is more to them than that, you being a one note illiterate troll just don't see that and interpret ANY and EVERY comment possible as anti-MCU because you have a one track broken mind, it's really quite sad.

I never get why people insist Ragnarok is flat out comedy. It isn't. It's a buddy cop flick.

If it was more straight forward, then that ball would have been like a bowling ball and just gone straight through.

Because it's comedic almost non stop, buddy cop films can be funny but have a serious element to them, Ragnarok not so much, no one in that movie other than Hela behaves seriously for more than 2 minutes, so it's a comedy with buddy cop elements mixed with a cbm, as opposed to a buddy cop film with comedic tones in a cbm style.
The Bucky & Falcon show will likely be more a buddy cop series, which should be fun to see.

That and Banner going splat instead of transforming, Loki's whole grand your saviour has arrived bit, Valkyrie falling off her ship because she's drunk, Korg in general and so on, they don't make it a bad movie, they just kind of pile up and turn it into a comedy film for me, which hey fuck it Dark World was shit so why not do something different? most people loved it, I liked it a lot so whatever.

I have to disagree. There was a lot of humor in the movie, a lot of it I admit I didn't like, but nowhere near enough to be full on comedy. There was a lot of seriousness mixed in as well. For example, just look at Odin's death scene.

Why should anyone care what the director of a box-office flop thinks? Will you go find out what Josh Trank and Tom Cooper think of the MCU too?

Why should anyone care what the director of a box-office flop thinks? Will you go find out what Josh Trank and Tom Cooper think of the MCU too? Because they have to market it and salvage whatever they can. Next will be denial and blaming either men* or the MCU for Birds of Prey failing at the BO.
*Which is funny because the argument was that the movie isn't for men.

Why do all these filmmakers feel that they have to use the MCU to sell their movies? Don't they see that, most of the time, it backfires? hardly. I think everyone has agreed mcu is immature crap. Logan is not even mcu, and the director of logan also trashed MCU.
its mcu that is backfiring on. I don't see anyone bringing mcu up again but their desperate fans who still want to argue mcu is good cinema when they are theme rides.

And 'Ford v Ferrari' didn't exactly do well at the box office, so you shot yourself in your foot.

And 'Ford v Ferrari' didn't exactly do well at the box office, so you shot yourself in your foot. Ford v ferrari did well at the box office. its an indie flick made for a mature age group that made more than 100m USA and 200m world wide and got Oscar noms with best picture. Ford v ferrari was a hit for its type of movie that also includes 1917, Irishman, jojo rabbit and knives out. this movies are not meant to be blockbusters.
its a shame to see mcu just kicked by everyone. How is Feige not embarrassed that his movies are seen as immature crap.

Indie flick? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Being smarter than me shouldn't even be that hard, and you somehow managed to be a lot more idiotic than I am. 'Ford v Ferrari' is hardly an indie flick, as it was funded by a major film studio. If anything, 'Iron Man' fits the definition of indie flick a lot more than that. Also, I've never said that the film outright failed. It just wasn't a big success since its budget was about $97.6 million.
