Thanks for posting -- can name most of them (too long a list, though).
Jimmy Stewart recalled from active duty and still in uniform.
Just out of camera range -- Lassie, given her own special berth.

OK, giving it the old college try anyway -- one row at a time per text.
Unknowns marked with 'X' (mostly starlets who didn't hang around for long)
Questionable guesses marked with '?'
First row in a moment.

Mayer / Greer Garson / 'X' / 'X' / Ann Miller (?) / Lionel Barrymore Next row in the next text I think that's Irene Dunne next to Greer Garson, and am positive it's Ginny Simms next to Lionel Barrymore. Just can't ID the lady in red between them.

I dunno about Angela there -- and I believe that's Donna between Craig and Van.

That next-to-last one, alongside O'Neill -- is that Bing's brother Bob?

Fifth Row: X / Fay Holden (?) / X / Bert Lahr / X / June Allyson / John Hodiak (?) / X / Spring Byington / X / Gladys Cooper Dunno the white-haired lady, but I get Sara Haden, then Fay Holden, then Lahr. And could that be Frances Rafferty between Hodiak and (future December Bride costar) Byington?

Why -- I do believe you are right, Doghouse.
I can't very well be 'Top Gun' without a good Wingman.
Thanks for protecting my rear.

I'm not very good in the air, but I haven't seen your usual one around this morning, so I don't mind doing my bit. Couple wild swings: could that be Joan Blondell sitting to Keenan Wynn's left (she'd just made Cry Havoc there)? And the lady between Lahr and Allyson keeps suggesting Laraine Day to me, but I've never seen her hair that long.
