Cowboys sign Greg the Leg Zuerlein. I know the Rams' financial situation was bad, but 3 years, $7.5 million shouldn't be hard to match.

From 2020 onwards, an additional playoff team each from the AFC and NFC has been officially confirmed as the owners have voted to approve.
No. 1 seeds in each conference get the bye, while 2) plays 7), 3) vs 6), and 4) vs 5).
So, 7 playoff spots available per conference. Not that this helps the Patriots.

Do you think it's pretty much impossible for every team in a division to make the playoffs?
Ok - so you've got 4 division winners and 3 WCs.
Say for instance -
Birds win the NFC East as expected -
Than the Cowboys, Giants and Skins all make the playoffs as WCs?

It’s not impossible, but very unlikely... (that the Eagles win the division)

It’s not impossible, but very unlikely... (that the Eagles win the division) You'd have to think all the teams within a division pretty much beat up on each other - and it would be kind of hard for the last place team in the division to make the playoffs - there'd have to be at least one 2nd place team in the other 3 divisions with a better record.
Wonder what the odds are though - I'm not the greatest with stats......

In theory all 4 teams could be 13-3.

Adam Schefter is not happy that the draft is still going ahead:
If it's all done remotely and there's no risk to anyone, what's the problem? Nobody said the NFL is trying to "help" by doing their draft. How would it "help" the situation by not having the draft?

Guess I've been proven wrong

Nobody said the NFL is trying to "help" by doing their draft. How would it "help" the situation by not having the draft? Yeah I don't get it. Nobody is going anywhere, I don't see what his problem is with teams hoping for some kind of normalcy to return once covid becomes manageable. Where was his outrage at free agency or any of the other leagues debating what to do with their postseasons? We're not supposed to think about life after covid-19? Why is he still doing his job? People are dying while he's collecting scoops about an insignificant game! We can all appreciate the gravity of the situation without succumbing to despair.

People are dying while he's collecting scoops about an insignificant game! We can all appreciate the gravity of the situation without succumbing to despair. When the outbreak started in Wuhan, there was an interaction in a WeChat (Chinese messenger app) group for American Expats in Wuhan that went viral due to a girl named Flora. While everyone else was trying to be calm and talk rationally about the situation, Flora was flipping out hysterically. You can see the full text here (it's very funny, NSFW): imgur.com/gallery/vkqp828For every person trying to stay upbeat ("I had my tickets to Wuhan cancelled and refunded, trip.com were so nice!") and encouraging each other to simply follow the government guidelines and stay home, Flora was all "NOBODY CARES! FUCK YOUR TRAIN TICKETS! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE! GOD DOESN'T EXIST!" That's essentially what's happening here. Yes, this is a very serious situation, but we don't need to be like Flora, and we're not going to help matters any by acting like the world is ending. "I sure am looking forward to the NFL Draft!" "FUCK THE DRAFT! THERE'S NOT GOING TO BE A HUMAN RACE IN A FEW WEEKS!"

Think OTAs and minicamps may be toast - wonder if this is all resolved by the time camp opens in July. I'll be crushed if this flows into college/pro football. On a positive note - maybe all preseason games will be cancelled and we'll just start the season around Labor Day

I think the NFL is living in fantasy land if they think the season is going to go off as planned. They can try. And they might. But I don't know why they would. Once one or two players are confirmed infected it's all over anyway. And then they just look like idiots for putting everyone at risk.

I wonder how many business will fail because of this. Mom and pops for sure, but a lot of major brick and mortar retailers are barely hanging on. I mean personally I like going to Barnes & Noble but they were hanging by a thread before the plague. Can they survive? How many restaurants will survive? On the topic at hand, I see no harm in holding a draft without a crowd in attendance. That’s all just noise anyway. The NFL is the one league that hasn’t officially shut down so people are starving for it.

I don't know how many businesses will fail due to the virus, but I know that the country can’t just stay locked down forever. I’m hoping that by around the 4th of July things will start getting back to normal.

Former Eagles DT Tim Jernigan signs 1 year deal with Texans
Guess with the addition of Hargrave and a returning Malik Jackson to go along with Cox it's not that big of a loss - was hoping for a rotation though to keep them all fresh
