#2 ... medium rare. I like it quite pink/juicy, with a crusty sear for extra flavor.
I find the best way to achieve that is to take the steak out of the fridge for 4-5 hours, to get it room temperature. I lightly sprinkle it with garlic salt, and pepper, then I broil it at the top position (I live in a city apartment, with no outdoor cooking facilities). I've heard "formulas," like X-number of minutes on either side. But, I just eyeball it, as steaks differ in size, and basic texture.

Medium rare, and charred. Pink or red inside, definitely not grayscale.. I remember having a steak like that once and absolutely loving it. I tried it again at a different restaurant in a different city years later, and didn't like it at all. I don't know what it was about the first one that the second one didn't have.

I don't eat steak but WKD likes his weekly steak medium well with a big pat of butter on top. I cook his steak in the George Foreman Grill.

I cook his steak in the George Foreman Grill. These are the only two ways I make my steaks.

When I do eat it-dead. Or as my sister in law says-so it's far past mooing. I know this kills many of you-but thankfully I rarely eat it.

Medium to medium well, I can't eat it when it's still red and bleeding all over my plate. Yes I know it's not actually blood, I don't care, I can't eat that.

The 3rd pic isn't medium. It's medium well and the 4th pic is well. The 5th pic is leather.
The second pic is medium so I choose that.
