Getting kind of an It (2017) vibe.

I think it actually looks pretty good some are saying looks boring cause trailer didn't show much except silhouettes of "Candyman" and quick "Glimpses", IMO a lot of times when trailer doesn't show much that's usually a good thing

The original gave me nightmares as a kid. It wasn't so much the gore, but there was a graffiti, a large image of a human face on the wall, and there was this dark cavity where his mouth was supposed to be and that gave me the chills. Up to this day, this remains one of the most dirsturbing things I've ever seen in a horror movie. Bernard Rose's direction was really masterful. I don't see how this remake could improve on it.

I enjoyed this trailer, though I’m gonna miss Tony Todd.

Well that looks disappointing as hell. I'm going to keep an open mind and see what the reviews say, but I'm starting to feel like Peele might be a one trick pony.
A prequel origin story would have been amazing. They could have cast Tony Todd as Daniel's grandfather and explored a Haitian voodoo theme. This just looks like a teen horror film.

I guess it was too much to expect it to be set in Liverpool.
Anyway, doesn't look too bad.

First impressions...im wary they decided to go with a man in the lead role just because i thought the Candyman/Helen kind of sexual tension from the original was an enjoyable aspect. Not that they couldnt do that with this guy but it doesn't look like they will. Looks like it'll focus on the possession/framed for murder aspects of Candyman.
But it looks really interesting. I hope the 'Say my name' remix is used as expertly as the 'I got 5 on it' remix from Us.
