DESTIN, Fla. — Emergency officials were called to an area near Destin Executive Airport in Florida, after a small plane went down on Sunday, according to preliminary reports.
The incident was called in at 10:08 a.m. local time.
A Facebook post by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office indicated that two men and a yellow Labrador retriever were aboard the plane and all three emerged from the crash “without a scratch.”
Initial indications were that people on the ground helped the trio aboard the airplane get out.
Video from the crash site suggested the plane was a Beechcraft Bonanza general aviation aircraft. The Bonanza is capable of seating six and has been in production longer than any other aircraft in history.
