2 year contract with the team that foiled his one chance at a ring in 09.

Bring him on! This alleviates the need for us to waste a pick on a RB.

ESPN conspired with the NFL and the Saints to make this happen. Yeah...thats the ticket. You see, the Saints come to Minnesota for the 1st Monday Night game of the season. It will be "Adrian Peterson returns to Minnesota in his first game as a Saint." "Will AP want to prove the Vikings that they were wrong?" "Can the Vikings run porous defense stop their former future Hall of Fame Running back?" ESPN will be hyping the shit out of that game. Good for ESPN, good for the NFL, and possibly good for the Saints. Edit: And espn.com just "borrowed" my point. link

We shall see. He is well past his prime, has serious fumbling issues, and has injury concerns.

Only the mentally feeble would really give two figs for these manufactured storylines. Same with big games being "a repeat of such-and-such matchup from [years] ago." It's all trite and done to death.

Something something switched teams. There's something ironic, if that's the word, about the sinner becoming a Saint.

It's not as big a deal as when Montana played the 49ers after they traded him to Kansas City or when Manning played the Colts after they released him and he went to Denver or when LeBron played the Cavs after The Decision.

OK, so he goes to one crap team to another crap team.
If he would have lowered his price to the Vikes, he would probably have a 14 million dollar deal in Minnesota right now.
Instead, he took a 1/2 pay cut basically. NO still has no defense, and they cant get Butler from NE.

"NO still has no defense, and they cant get Butler from NE." The Saints defense greatly improved last season after Dennis Allen took over as DC. With several key players coming back from injuries and the addition of new FA signings as well as the influx of high draft picks, the defense will continue to get better. It's been widely reported that the Saints are no longer interested in Malcolm Butler.
