My Bloody Valentine - the original - 1981 These horrid B slasher movies from the 80s have actually been quite enjoyable That's one of the better ones. And there's a restored version from recent years that put a lot of the gore back in that the MPAA hacked away in the 80s. And get this Frogs... the remake is actually pretty good!

Yeah - I own the remake - buried somewhere in storage - never watched it
Maybe I'll dig it out this Valentines Day and give it a watch
This one isn't bad for an 80s slasher - I'm enjoying the atmosphere thus far - i.e. small knit town int he winter where everybody knows everybody
So far I'd put this behind Black Christmas (original) as far as the old slasher flicks I've been watching recently (not counting the Kings of F13th, Halloween, NOES, Hellraiser ((if you label Hellraiser slasher)) of course)

It may be the best of the masked slasher movies that never got a sequel. The Burning is another fun one. Young George Costanza appears. A lot of people like The Prowler, but other than the excellent Tom Savini effects I never really connected with it. But My Bloody Valentine has pretty solid production values and performances, a strong villain concept, and good cinematography and atmosphere for a movie made by a bunch of Canadian nobodies.

Return to Horror High - 80s slasher On second thought - I feel I must watch the first movie first though - 'Horror High - 1974' I hate the 70s but feel I'm going to have to watch the original to gain a greater appreciation for 'Return to Horror High' which I'll watch next Here we go

I just get bad vibes
Just cringey acting, bad hair, bad clothes, horrible cheesey music - I think things started to get better for society in the 80s
Only movies I can think of that I enjoyed from the 70s -
JAWS The Exorcist Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Shining in 1980 was a great way to say goodbye to a horrible decade

Again... what a weirdo. At least it's an original take, I guess. The idea that the 80s had cool hair, great clothes, superior acting, and better music is certainly a bizarre one, but I do have to give you credit for that.

It's not even close
Die Hard Lethal Weapon National Lampoons Vacation The Breakfast Club Three Amigos Friday the 13th There's literally too many iconic movies to mention
I can't name 10 from the 70s

K... And just as I suspected -
Horror High (from the 70s) is horrible......
Can't wait to get past this and get to Return to Horror High (from the 80s) - I'm expecting a much better movie

George Clooney is in Return to Horror High. But that's pretty much all I know about it. I've never seen either of them.

Basket Case
What an underrated underappreciated gem
Guy lives with his siamese conjoined twin that was severed off his body - his little bro lives in a basket that his brother carries around. Madcap zaniness and fun ensue

Somebody recently bought me the DVD box set of 'The Haunting of Hill House' telly series thing.
I thought it was very good, but a bit too heavy on the family drama at times, and light on the old supernatural shenanigans. Looking forward to the sequel 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' to come out on DVD.
Apart from that, been rewatching stuff pulled randomly out of my horror DVD pile, and watching various different telly iterations of the Moomins stories. (Moominvalley is great, Moomin is charming, and Das Moomins is still frightening.

The new Invisible Man is free right now Half hour in Has a great critic score Yawnfest so far - better pick up or off it goes
** Edit - I retract my yawnfest statement. That dinner scene with her sister was jaw dropping/brutal. Can't recall being shocked like that in a long time

Why do you insist on spoiling (even tacitly like this) every movie you see? We all know you just keep movies on in the background and don’t give a shit but some people actually prefer to not have movies ruined.

That's not spoiling anything
If I was going to spoil it I would have stated her sister got her throat cut at the dinner table
Don't you have some law books to be reading up on instead of pissing and moaning about me spoiling movies?
Here's a tip - don't read my posts Ace

Well you had a great thread here, before your asinine act decided to take center stage. Just don't whine when nobody respects anything you have to say. About anything.
