I've never seen any of them but I love zombie / infection movies
Worth a watch?
Just like I've never seen an Underworld or Blade movie and I love vampires / werewolves
They just didn't look like my cup of tea from trailers / clips
Blade 1 & 2 are solid flicks. Underworld 1 was alright, I guess. I don't think I've seen the others. I think I saw the first Resident Evil, though I don't remember much about it. Never cared for any of the Underworld movies, though I don't think I've ever seen a full one... but Kate Beckinsale is certainly nice to look at. Same with Reaident Evil. I loved Blade when it came out and I was in middle school... not sure if I'd still feel as warmly about it. Never saw the second movie, but I'm otherwise a Del Toro completionist, so I will need to at some point.

I pick them up at random in charity shops for ten bob, or three for a squid. It's more of a tiny donation to the local hospice or animal shelter, where you get a DVD given you as a thank you. And occasionally, you do find a diamond in the rough there. I wouldn't pay to go and watch them at the picture house. It's got a zombie tiger. I thought you loved animals. I love Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi curries... But I'm not going to watch a film just because it's got a mutant vegetable phal monster in it.

As always, I'll be the speedbump to children's/horror films:
Rewatched The Master (2012) two nights ago. I had forgotten a lot of it (must of watched it the first time while drinking).
I'd put Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman up against any other actors of the 21st century. 95% of actors look like they should belong in a 7th grade play where they should be playing the part of trees versus those two.

Danish crime series, “Blinded: those who kill”.
It’s on BBC4 on Saturday nights but all episodes already on iplayer.
Enjoying this one even though we know the killer from minute one. Above average as these things go.
There was an earlier series featuring the same detective and all episodes of the are on iplayer too.

Making the audience have more information than the characters (the detectives) is unusual but is not unheard of. “Dial M for Murder” comes to mind. It is perfectly possible to have as much tension as in a traditional whodunnit. I remember starting a thread (I don’t know if here on v2 or on the old boards) asking for examples of movies with this kind of plot structure.
*** EDIT ***
Found the thread:

First one that springs to my mind is Columbo.

Going to binge 'Bates Motel' and give it a 2nd watch
Thought it was well done - not everybody's cup of tea thought as they thought it was too 'Soapy'
Actor who played Norman was terrific
Couldn't help but laugh though as the show had Norman scoring with all of these hot babes which was a little unrealistic

Out of the DVD pile for tonight's viewing...
'Dead End'
I can live with that. I like it, good cast.
The only issue I really have with it is the wanking scene. It makes no sense whatsoever 🤷♀️

It makes no sense whatsoever 🤷♀️ I don't really remember it that specifically, but I vaguely recall that moment, and it's odd. But the parents are both really good, seasoned actors and desolate, snowy atmosphere is really good. It's solid, but it has a really high reputation, which I think is oversold, a little, but it's perfectly decent. Frogs would love it. He'd love theorizing and actually being right for a change.

Is there a twist at the end?
Like maybe somebody has been dead all along and it's a dream?
Perhaps 2 characters are actually 1 character - i.e. Fight Club?

Have you never seen it? I feel like it's something you would be familiar with. It takes place on Christmas Eve, I think, so maybe not the right time of year.

If it's different - I don't recall hearing about it or seeing it
Although I love Christmas Horror...will have to look into it

This is painful thus far.....
Trying to hang in there....
I'm 15 minutes in....
