I saw that one! Don’t remember much about it. I certainly didn’t love it, but I don’t think I hated it either. *** SPOILERS BELOW! ***
I'm really enjoying it thus far
Over an hour into it. All-Star cast. Can watch anything with Robert Patrick
After the first 15 minutes it dropped the 7even/SAW path and when they went to the clinic - there's hints of -
Identity The Thing The Shining Alien Predator
High Tension (I think Sly is actually the killer)
Prediction - I think Sly died during his suicide attempt and the clinic scene that follows is how Sly committed all the murders when he was alive
Not everybody's cup of tea but I don't know how this fell under the radar for me
I haven't seen this movie, but I would have predicted that that would have been your prediction.

I haven't seen this movie, but I would have predicted that that would have been your prediction. They really had a chance to do something special here but completely blew it......
Nothing supernatural at all so the ending was a bit of a letdown....

If only it was the same twist every other movie used.

If only it was the same twist every other movie used. Or something even remotely interesting....
I can't recall the last time I was letdown by a movie's ending after thoroughly enjoying the first 2/3

I watched the first two episodes of “Criminal: UK” on Netflix. It’s an interesting variation on the police procedural: we don’t see the crime, we don’t see the investigation. Each self-contained episode takes place entirely inside the police station, as the detectives conduct their interviews with the suspect.
There are versions from the UK, France, Germany and Spain. I haven’t watched the others yet, but I plan to at some point. They all have a first season with three 45-minute episodes. UK is the only one (so far) that has had a second season, with four episodes.
The first episode has David Tennant as the suspect being interviewed, and the second has Hayley Atwell. Both of them do a very good job. Jon Snow appears in one of the episodes of the second season, and apparently he is great in it.

yeah, I thought the first one was poor and enjoyed the 2nd one more. Still not a classic episode by any means though. Agreed re the first episode - Thought it was like a really poor attempt to make another episode like that Shakespearian style hotel corridor one they did (which, despite having a similar pretentiousness, I thought was good fun).

I always liked Elijah Wood - enjoyed him 'The Faculty' and 'The Good Son' - never saw those Hobbit or Lord of the Ring movies
*** SPOILERS BELOW! ****
I have a feeling it's not his real dad - ever see M Night Shyamalan's 'The Visit' where the grandparents really weren't the grandparents?

Yeah I kinda liked The Visit too. It was sorta dumb, but I found it effective.

Has there ever been a movie out there where half way through it does a 180 degree turn and it actually works besides From Dusk Till Dawn?

Not a lot of action and quite dull but I still enjoyed it - especially with everything going on with Covid
*** SPOILERS BELOW! ****
I don't know if you remember much about it - but it was eerie to me watching it when the Oriental man was hanging dead with a sign on his body blaming the Chinese for spreading the pandemic. My jaw kind of dropped. Just eerily similar to what's going today
And I've brought this up in other threads -
How far would you go for a loved one? i.e. - if you saw them getting attacked by a shark would you try and save them?
I felt like I got punched in the gut when he told his girlfriend to get out of the car because she was infected and left her there to fend for herself. I couldn't imagine doing that if you truly loved someone. After that - I was rooting for his death.
