20/20 - 'What the Dash Cam Never Saw' 'Thirteen women say there were sexually assaulted by a police officer during late night traffic stops; it will take DNA and another officers...' I actually saw this when it originally aired - fascinating. Dirty cop preyed on prostitutes thinking nobody would believe their story and he could get away with it...... Next channel down - Dateline 'Suspicion' 'The neighbors enjoy mixing business with pleasure then a murder makes them face the reality that a killer is in their midst' Good stuff

The Bronx Bull
It's the 'Prequel/Sequel' to Raging Bull
Apparently it shows LaMotta's life before Raging Bull and the events after it.
All-Star cast - never knew this existed.

Guilty pleasure of mine. Some great effects, awesome score, super cheesy performances but a fun movie. Plus it has a glorified cameo from Harry Dean Stanton!

Seemed like he was destined for stardom - was a lead in Christine and also Back to School
I don't recall him in anything else off the top of my head....

Keith Gordon. He went into TV, behind the scenes, which was the right move because he wasn't a good actor. I first noticed his name run across the credits while watching The Bridge on FX, but since then, he's directed a bunch of episodes for Fargo, The Leftovers, Homeland, and looking at his IMDB page, he's helmed a bunch of Dexter episodes and a slew of others.

Dressed to Kill Never saw - but it's free on my cable package - I might give it a whirl. Watching Fargo (the movie) again.
I just remembered the kid was in Jaws 2 too!

Saturday night, I watched The Hunt (2020), a movie that apparently generated controversy over the fact that the opening of the movie discusses liberals hunting down and murdering "deplorables." Honestly, I don't really get it, as the movie properly skewers followers of both sides of the aisle fairly mercilessly.....and hilariously. This movie was an absolute blast, with surprisingly well-staged and shot action sequences, a great balance of tongue-in-cheek humor (it approaches Zucker Brothers-esque moments at times) and biting satire, coupled with a star-making performance. I don't want to spoil it, but the first act had this really interesting narrative device that I can't say I've seen employed all that much, and certainly not this effectively. Plus, Betty Gilpin, a TV actress that I can't say I've really heard of, is . Her performance is so much fun and she breathes so much life into the film that it's impossible not to actively root for her. Gory, funny and at a crisp 90 minutes, it knows exactly what it is and it's all the better for it. I watched it tonight. Great fun indeed. It works as a black comedy, as satire, and as an action movie as well.

Friday the 13th: Part IV
One of the better F13th sequels (right up there with III and FvJ and V - II and I aren't bad) - with a decent cast - a young Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman star.

Aggressively searching youtube for some old movie of my liking... Earlier today watched this film and I liked it a lot. Rated 8 on IMDB this movie called Demons (1971) is a great psychological revenge film.

The Jewel of the Nile - Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner
It's Indiana Jones but 10 million times better.

Earlier in the week watched Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill (2020). It was like a meal that you've had 1000 times before in your life: satisfying, but nothing you'd post onto Instagram.
Also watched over the course of the last couple of weeks a season of The Great British Bake Off. I've decided that British people are 500X nicer than Americans. I wanted every single one of them to win, whereas I usually want 95% of people on American reality shows to lose.
