A David Bowie ranked list, by anyone, is for the reader's amusement only. It just is. Hundreds of recorded songs, each with their own tell-tale sign of endearment stamped on it - apart, I suppose, from those you never really much cared for. Here's a Greatest Songs list from a journo (Alexis someone or other, head rock and pop critic for The Guardian) Add your track(s) that aren't on the list, if you wish. I'll only go for one, a personal favourite, but there are quite rightly loads more that would be on my 50 list that aren't on the journo's. It's a bit of fun and I shudder at the seriousness with which these lists are sometimes met. "What a load of old sh*t, where the f*** is _____? What's that crap doing at number 10?" etc. But anyone with the audacity to compile a list of his 50 'greatest' songs I suppose warrants a brief inspection.
