You people are so rude and sarcastic. I bet if someone posted Christian or Muslim beliefs you wouldn't be so crass.

Well as beliefs go, seems like harmless nonsense to me.

[1] Revere the environment and the spirits of the elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. [2] The Divinity has two aspects, the God and the Goddess. Nature is feminine and masculine at the same time. Both are of equal importance. [3] Gods and spirits can be given different names, because they continue to be the same Divinity. [4] Wicca can be practiced in a coven as well as in solitary [5] Wiccans do not need to build temples. Nature is the perfect and most auspicious place to perform rituals and gatherings. [6] There are different traditions within Wicca. Everyone is free to worship in their own way, combining beliefs and rites from different traditions. This is known as Eclectic Wicca [1] Using text consumes far less bandwidth than images. [2] But one day a donkey between two buckets of feed died because it couldn't decide which bucket to approach first. [3] Again the bandwidth issue. [4] Of course depending on one's definition of "as well." [5] Large gatherings might require an electronic sound system though. [6] Again the definition of "as well."

I have absolutely no interest in Scientology, which despite the name has nothing to do with science.

Cool. Next share with us Scientology beliefs. You really can't compare Wicca to Scientology. Wicca is a revival of European paganism. Scientology is a crackpot pyramid scheme. They were founded by around the same time though, & both Gerald B. Gardner & L. Ron Hubbard were disciples of Alistair Crowley.

My point is that Wicca is part of a long tradition of occult in European culture. I admit, it is a modern invention. My main criticism of Wicca is that it's too hippy dippy pacifist. They're too timid to even sacrifice a chicken. Scientology is a whole other ball of wax though. It's a modern cult. I see strong parallels between Scientology and Mormonism, but not in dogma of course. Yeah, it's a modern invention, & yet many of its adherents call it "the old religion." It was supposed to be all about practicing witchcraft, but, claiming that it was "White Magic" (or Magick as they like to spell it), as opposed to black magic.

It was supposed to be all about practicing witchcraft, but, claiming that it was "White Magic" (or Magick as they like to spell it), as opposed to black magic. If you're gonna explore the cult, do the real thing. That's why I like Crowley. His writings are truly beautiful. His invocation of the ancient Egyptian gods is fascinating. He was not afraid to say much of it was evil.
Let me make a corollary though. Crowley and Ayn Rand are both on the same thing wavelength. I would say they both emerged from the same force shaping modern society. What Ayn Rand espoused is no more 'evil' than Crowley. She just didn't call it evil though. Rand called it virtue. Wicca is a sanitized liberalized feminized version of the occult. In that sense it's not true to the 'old religion'. But of course in the 21st century any religious or philosophical movement will be influenced by modernism. Which is why Christians such as myself would reject it. I do like learning about world religions. Think it is a very fascinating topic. But, what is evil, must be rejected.

I understand your Christian abhorrence of a man like Crowley. Yet, at the same time, many conservative Christians love Ayn Rand. Don't they see a conflict? The gist of Rand's beliefs are the same as Crowley's.
What exactly did Crowley teach?

The gist of Rand's beliefs are the same as Crowley's. I know very little about Ayn Rand, to make any judgement about her. In fact, the first time I heard about her was only about 15 years ago, when Yahoo.com briefly created a message forum about her under the title of 'Philosophers.'
