I cannot believe the posts here. I thought this season was by far the best one. It was fantastic. Most of the posts have been positive, but the reason the show is great this season is because it embraced melodrama rather than just play around with it for it's showstoppers. That's a good thing. Being entertained is always better than rational storytelling, but if they ramp it up beyond this season, it'll be a shark jumping moment. Wendy will probably run for president.

I finished watching Season 3 today, and overall I thought it was quite good. Those two particular episodes that were emotionally devastating really packed a powerful wallop, thanks largely in part to the brilliant performances of Laura Linney and Tom Pelphrey. Strong stuff. Also, what a helluva season finale! Can't wait for Season 4.
Ozark is an obvious Breaking Bad clone, albeit a very good one. It's extremely intense, exceptionally well written, and with dynamite acting. As with Breaking Bad, Ozark makes flavorful use of filming locations, making the setting a character in itself.
Oh, and I just love how Darlene went all Sondra Locke on Frank Jr.

I enjoy that kind of character...I just coulda done without the sex with Wyatt.

She's fiercely proud of her farming roots and her rural way of life, and once somebody is on her side she will do anything to protect them. But with that bad temper she's not somebody you would want to insult or double-cross!
