wow, they look amazing and lifelike. Regardless of the quality of the movie, it definitely had even better special effects in the first. Special effects in movies haven't been the same since Stan Winston died.

The behind the scenes of the animatronics looked even better. In the movies they had the dinosaurs moving very deliberately, but when you watch them playing around with them--they have various movement quirks you expect from animals and so they look more real.

The look of the movies was never an issue for me. That they set their T-Rexes in darkened rain, so be it, life's short.

Now a days, I myself think that the Best Animatronics and Practical Effects guys are Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr. at "ADI".

Now a days, I myself think that the Best Animatronics and Practical Effects guys are Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr. at " ADI". Seem like the only ones left. Former Winston employees. Not easy nowadays because the executives micromanage everything like with the Thing remake.
I heard Rob Bottin went into real estate.
