I'm looking forward to lying on the beach in the warm sun again. Right now it's still too cold to swim, but that'll come later.

I'm a movie junkie, and will look forward to going to the movies again. Oh, and eating out. I know many places still have pick-up available, but I just don't trust it, not knowing who is making the food and possibly contaminating it.

I just want to feel comfortable, and free, to go out to run the basic errands that I always took for granted. Add to that, being able to decide, in mid afternoon, that I'm going to join neighbors for dinner at a local eatery. I want to be spontaneous, again!

Taking my grandkids to the park so my granddaughter can ride her bike. Eating at our favorite Japanese place with my daughter. Going to the movies. Hanging out with my mom. All things I took for granted before.

Iām looking forward to doing the last two sections of my Thames walk. Sitting in the restaurant at the Royal Festival Hall and thinking, you know, I ought to get some exercise, maybe going on the Thames walk and then getting the train home before I feel compelled to actually do anything.

Things = Hockey (spectator), softball (participant) and bowling (participant). Places = The Rec Room
Hockey:
Going to the hockey games. This season was kind of uprooted. They first postponed the rest of the regular season (had about 2 weeks left to go). Then, they outright cancelled the rest of the games.
I then thought....it's only a matter of time when they cancel the playoffs and the Memorial Cup, which is the big tournament after the league playoffs. Well...that happened, too. So, no more live hockey for my team until September....at the VERY earliest.
One thing I am looking forward to is the Priority Selection (draft), which is this Saturday.
Softball:
I'm waiting to see/hear if we're going to have a softball season. I imagine we eventually will - it'll be a shortened season (much like what they're doing for Major League Baseball). First games are traditionally last week of April/first week of May. I don't see it happening at that time. I mean - now that the government of Ontario has closed the schools for the entire month of April, I imagine prohibition of public gatherings will be extended for at least that long, too.
Bowling:
I'm waiting to see/hear if our bowling season is done. We have been off since March 16th. Last week of the regular season is set for this Monday. Then, we have 3 weeks of playoffs. After that, on the Wednesday, the top 2 team each division go for the championship. I'm thinking bowling is done for the year. On top of that, we have our year end banquet. I think that'll be cancelled as well. We usually gather about 150-200 people for the event.
The Rec Room:
For my American friends, it's pretty much the Canadian version of Dave & Buster's. That's the impression I got from seeing the previews on the game show "Double Dare", anyway.

I had a trip to Toronto planned for May that obviously isn't happening now so maybe I'll try to go in the fall.
