...the crises?
I don't normally post on this board, and I'd appreciate this not turning into a debate about the validity of religion. I'm just curious about what those of faith are finding comforting right now (any faith is welcome).
Psalm 91:3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.
Psalm 94:16 In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
Psalm 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth
Ecclesiastes 1:9 That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.

"Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant us peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ."
(Roman Catholic Liturgy)

a plethora of pandemic platitudes personified
well, what do you think he meant when he said unto you: for i was sick and you comforted me?
stockpiling paper products? hording hot dogs? stacking soup cans into wheel of fortune pyramids while playing bumper cars with shopping carts? brawling over bacon bits you'd normally never buy? begging for donations to float the three mortgages on your vacation homes?
it seems gods are never alone with so many born again drones hammer their points home in and outside of his tax-exempt thunder domes.
sjw 04/02/2020 inspired at this very moment in time by the watch in watching and waiting.

I look to the book of Job and its assertions:

I agree wholeheartedly and perhaps a misguided sense of a faith in humanity when push comes to shove. This is a chance to show what you as an individual and society in general can achieve if they discard tribalism and act in unity and faith in each other and not some bloody useless divisive God thing. I would also like Trump to be if not voted out, impeached and later tried for war crimes.

Nope. Atheist here, don't have no faith in the religious sense. What about the secular humanitarian sense?

I don't belong to any organized faith, but I guess I'm always cognizant of the fact that life is a short and temporary state, and in the end nothing really matters anyway, so I don't get too caught up in all the human dramas. Just enjoy the time you have here, try your best to be a decent person, and remember that this too shall pass.
I do think there is far too much hatred in this world, and sometimes I think humanity needed a wakeup call. We'll see if we manage to learn something from this.

I have faith in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and Charles Darwin. And while medical science is not perfect, I have more faith in that than I do in the Bible. Police have been called to a local day care because a three-year-old was resisting a rest.

James 4:4:
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Currently, with this being Holy Week, I am contemplating Our Lord's Passion, and how, what ever trying times I & everyone else is going through, Our Lord Had it 1000 times much more tougher, on that Good Friday, more than 2,000 years ago.
