2 more years till that happens sadly. I know. I don't get why they didn't go for Nov 2021 personally, just under 3 years after the first film sounds like a good spot, April feels too crowded these days, that or maybe February when things are still quieter, as good as Spider-Verse was it still wasn't a huge a hit as it deserved to be...damn you Aquaman, oh wait Aquaman needed to be as big a hit as it was also...erm damn you Mary Poppins Returns???

Thor 4 was supposed to take that spot, and Disney likely would’ve released an animated film in that month as well.

Yeah but look what April/May usually brings out of Disney, that's billion dollar season for the mouse, but they only barely cracked $850m with Thor Ragnarok in Nov, that's a tastier spot to be in imo, I mean at this point who knows what is going to be in that April/May slot which also is Fast & Furious territory, that's just not prime real estate for Spider-Verse 2 imo.

So only the one MCU movie this year. I think that's the first time since 2012?
This board only really comes to life when there's movies out so now there's not going to be one for another seven months then expect it to be real quiet around here.
And I bet that Falcon and Winter Soldier won't release in August anymore.

At the time Sony scheduled the movie for April 2022, the final Fast and Furious movie was already set to have been released the year prior.

Final main franchise movie but they clearly want to spin off of that, likely to get away from Vin Diesel and his nonsense, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were planning on a Hobbs & Shaw 2 or something else spinning off of some of the other characters in that early April 2022 spot.
