I had the Army of Darkness game back in the mid-90s. Anyone ever played, have memories of, any good / bad movie based board games ?

I rememeber it looking different but we had at most 2 of these in our home when I was young, I had a King Kong chain breaking game that was my own. I never heard of this one.

I never played a movie board game. I used to play regular board games like 'Cluedo' and 'Monopoly' with my grandmother. They look like fun.

A mixture of a board game and DVD interactive game, based on all movies.

Growing up, my neighbours had a King Kong game. Since the '76 Kong kinda freaked me out as a toddler, I didn't enjoy looking at the game either.

Yes! I never played that particular game, but I instantly recognized the Avalon Hill logo. I've owned many of their other fine games. I guess the games Waterloo, Anzio and Midway would also fit this thread.

I think that's the reverse. Unless they updated the original for the 1985 film.

I had D-Day. As I recall Matthew Ridgway was a consultant.

There's one for The Thing that I saw at a video game/movie shop, but it was something like $60 so I didn't buy it. I looked into it a bit afterwards and apparently it's a somewhat layered and complex game, so it might be worth it. It's also just a really cool piece of memorabilia from one of the greatest movies ever.
