collider.com/david-fincher-directing-world-war-z-2/Gosh I'm stoked, I thought the first movie was good enough but with Fincher behind the camera this could truly be the best sequel right up there with Aliens and T2: Judgement Day. I wonder when they will begin filming? I'd like to add that WWZ really impressed me for a PG-13 zombie film. It was probably the biggest surprise of summer 2013.

I thought World War Z was an okay movie with a lot of potential that sadly didn't make it to the screen. But I'm really exicted if Fincher is directing the sequel. It's been a while since we've had a very good zombie movie.
Edit: I still have to see Train to Busan. I've heard really good things about it.

I guess that Fincher wants to work with Pitt again, they're buddies apparently, but working on this particular project is kinda slumming it for Fincher. Why work on crap just to hang out with your buddy? Fincher could literally do anything. Why this?
On the other hand... Maybe this is exactly what the movie needs. Class it UP a little.

It was serviceable but the book was vastly superior. It's the type of story more suitable for a miniseries. Or a full fledged series but I'd hate for it to end up like Walking Dead.

I personal hate The Walking Dead, the characters aren't likable for me, and after a few seasons its the same song and dance. I liked WWZ because it only tried to be a zombie blockbuster, which worked hence the box office returns. Having Fincher will likely help develop characters better and give him a shot at fun action sequences.

The source material was fabulous as I heard it. It would be a challenge for Fincher to adapt it on screen.
