I agree, working on cars looks cool but is more frustrating than cool. Sometimes you save money but I never seemed to have the proper tool so I was always buying new tools. Now that I have all the tools I don't have energy to crawl around the ground anymore.
I'll say going to concerts. I still go to numerous concerts throughout the year but things have changed. No more pit, always need a seat. Before the encore starts I'm already planning an exit strategy and thinking about how I'm going to get out of the parking lot.

i used to collect individually wrapped sugar cubes and packets. AS A KID/TEENAGER, not an old lady. I actually had a pretty impressive International collection at one point. Like really intricate puzzles of individually wrapped sugar cubes from various cafes from all over the world. my mom made me throw it out when we were moving (a 10 years worth of collection!!) (may or may not have been visited by ants). I am still somewhat sour about it actually. When I started writing this post I though this was a good example. for this topic. But HECK NO!! My sugar collection was COOL AS HELL!! Much cooler and larger than this example. shit now I am real sad my parents made me throw mine out!! ![](https://img1.lostbird.vn/2018/01/16/55430/31.jpg)

Power boating. What a mess it must be. Storage, gas prices, insurance, charting courses not to run aground, etc. Terrible resale value.
As a kid, boating looked like pedal to the metal glory. In reality, it must be a bit of a headache. Unless you're retired living on a big enough one to cruise anywhere - in which case why would you because having to walk everywhere else.

They've also been collecting paper napkins from restaurants and cafes all over the world and match-boxes.

Sad thing is even when you do have a seat you rarely get to sit in it. Everybody stands up (because music sounds better standing?) then you think to yourself "oh great, here we go again".

I also think some of those jars haven't been opened for years or even decades. Let's see whether I'll be able to muster up enough energy for this kind of endeavour in the next days.
