Not yet, but I figure it will come around the same time our Social Security direct deposit comes in, around the 16th/17th.

Your gifs are spot on. This is nothing but an unnecessary handout, welfare for the middle class, all those people who don't want hungry children to get food stamps. It will help drive us into a depression. And 1200 bucks ain't gonna help anyone long term anyway. I'll get my 1200 bucks too but I still think it's one of the stupidest ideas to come out of Washington in a long time. They could always mint a trillion dollar coin. Or ten. Or on second thought, make it a hundred of them.

Some people best prepare to be disappointed.
TEXT:
Banks would be first in line to grab the payments to offset a delinquent loan or past-due fees. Even if the individual thinks their account with that bank is closed, if the payments post there, the bank could conceivably use them to cover old debts.
The Treasury Department effectively blessed this activity on a webinar with banking officials last week. In audio obtained by the Prospect, Ronda Kent, chief disbursing officer with Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service, can be heard explaining that banks had posed questions to her about “whether these payments could be subject to collection from the bank to which the money is deposited, if the payee owes an outstanding loan or other payments to the bank.” She responded—twice—that “there’s nothing in the law that precludes that action,” while counseling that the banks’ compliance officers should consult with their legal offices about what policies their banks will implement. “You will want to know for your bank what your bank has decided to do,” Kent said.

They just openend up the portal to enter your direct deposit information. But, when I enter mine, they say my information doesn't match theirs.

As of 12:32 PM on Wednesday, April 15, still haven't received it. However, the US Treasury did debit our account for $3,900.00 for our Fed Tax due for 2019. We filed in early February. I wonder if NJ will get us our money? ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/c7ix3cl95/hmm.gif) The state owed us.

Now they are saying, "I have accessed the site too many times today. Wait 24 hours and try again." I was trying to enter my direct deposit information but the system kept telling me my info didn't match theirs. Geez . . .
