I had hotdogs the other day and was confused as to why they didn't taste as good as usual. You guessed it, they were all beef. All pork or at least pork-beef burgers blow away all beef burgers. Throw in all the Italian cured meats like salsiccia (sausage), soppressata, capocollo and pancetta (bacon). Yummy.

I like beef too, it just seems that pork gets the short end when it comes to hot dogs and especially burgers.

I like beef too, it just seems that pork gets the short end when it comes to hot dogs and especially burgers. Speaking of hotdogs me and a friend went biking on a bike path near Youngstown Ohio. On the way back we saw a place called Suzie's Dogs & Drafts. Outstanding Hotdogs and ice cold draft beer. They sold burgers also but we did not see one person eating burgers. Only hotdogs.

I'm not even that into Italian style prosciutto cotto (cooked ham) or cured prosciutto. I do like Black Forest ham in sandwiches though.

A local BBQ food truck recently started serving boneless pork loin wrapped in bacon on skewers and seasoned with their rub. I tried to post the image but it didn't post for some reason.

Meat loaf, containing all ground beef doesn't have much flavor, even with herbs and other flavorings. Add even 1/4 cup of pork sausage, and the flavor "pops."

When I make 'Swedish meatballs', it's a mix of pork and beef and makes better meatballs than just beef.
