Not my words, they are the words of Eugenie Bouchard, the 2014 Wimbledon finalist. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/39727651As a general point, drug cheating is one of the biggest sins in sport, yet you can fall foul of the laws, dope to your heart's content for years on end, and when you finally do get busted you get a 12 or 18 month ban and can be back playing as if nothing as ever happened. Surely that's not cricket?

Bouchard shouldn't play again either.
She lacks the basic etiquette on top of poor attitude and performances. She got blown out by someone ranked in the high 800-900 in a small tournament a few weeks ago.

Surely that's not cricket? A 12 to 18 month ban is at least an adequate punishment and more than just a mere slap on the wrist. Look at Brady. He cheated in a championship playoff game and all he got was a mere slap on the wrist - a measly 4 weeks, in the regular season, for cheating in a championship playoff game.

She has done her time, and she is hot. Hence: welcome in Stuttgart!

The drug that Sharapova was taking was allowed at the time. I don't like her one bit but a lifetime ban would be disproportional in my opinion.
Incidentally, I wonder how the poor woman is going to cope without her heart medication now. She insisted that she really needed that particular drug in order to treat her heart condition, so now that she can't take it anymore I hope she has found an alternative, and is not going to drop dead in the middle of a match!

The performance enhancing drug she took was most definitely on the banned substances list when she took it.
And yes, we can only pray that her and the rest of the Russian athletes who have been guzzling these vital medications down their nozzles for the past 10 years will be okay without them.

Does anyone care what athletes are taking?
Every Olympics, I basically assume everyone is doped up to the eyeballs.
I'd be happy to see her off her tits on crack at Wimbledon.

If etiquette was a factor in banning anyone from playing sport, there would be a lot less players around!

Sharapova vs Serena sounds like two women stabbing each other for 2 1/2 hours. The lack of any screaming, grunting or shrieking is another reason I like Federer, cause even on the men's side there are too many grinders and screamers. Imagine if MLB batters shouted every time they swung the bat, or if NBA players grunted every time they take a jump shot.
