Even though I like a handful of James Bond movies, I have to say meh.
This franchise makes the Halloween franchise look consistent. That is a sarcastic exaggeration of course.

The James Bond series along with Mission Impossible series are my Top 2 series straight up simply because they got a solid volume of quality movies as nothing else can compete with these two series. but ill give the edge to James Bond overall. FridayOnElmStreetI agree with you overall even though there is only one other series that's really close, which is the Mission Impossible series as while the James Bond movies have higher highs (Skyfall/Casino Royale), the Mission Impossible series is definitely more consistent for me overall as you can see below... Mission Impossible series... 1)Mission Impossible (1996) - 7.5-8/10 -)Mission Impossible III (2006) -)Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015) 4)Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011) 5)Mission Impossible: Fallout (2018) - 7/10 6)Mission Impossible II (2000) - 5/10 (Thumbs Down) so as you can see short of the 2nd movie that series is quite consistent for me with a bit of a dip on the 6th movie from 2018. James Bond (I am only going to list the ones that stand out from the pack even though there is more I like (in fact, I like 14 out of the 25 movies but only 7-9 stand out from the pack))... 1.Skyfall (2012) - 9/10 2.Casino Royale (2006) - 8/10 3.Spectre (2015) - 7.5-8/10 4.From Russia with Love (1963) - 7/10 -.Licence to Kill (1989) -.Goldfinger (1964) -.Dr. No (1962) 8.The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) - 6-6.5/10 -.Quantum of Solace (2008) so as you can see, at least for me, Mission Impossible is more consistent in movie quality even though James Bond has higher highs for me and goes deeper but it's been out much longer. so depending on how things play out in the future it's still possible Mission Impossible series could overtake the James Bond series for me. so as long as things don't take a solid hit after Craig leaves the Bond series, I suspect James Bond will retain the edge for a while. plus, I can't imagine Cruise will continue to make the Mission Impossible series for too much longer given he's pushing 60 years old etc and assuming things pretty much end when he does that means we ain't got much time (maybe 5-10 years MAX(?)) before it's the end of Mission Impossible series where as the James Bond series will likely continue on as there is no reason for them to stop those.
