My father was very troubled. I like my mom more, but loved them both the same.

I loved both, too, Marilyn
My mom preferred her two sons over me; my dad preferred me to my brothers.
So I liked my dad much better. He helped me so much when my daughter was born with CP to see how special she was.
My mom babysat a lot and it was hard on her. She was great too. But different.
My dad died years before my mom.
Only when she broke her hip did she begin to appreciate me. Where were those precious sons when she needed groceries or to go to the doctor?
No where. For years I did everything for her. She realized it.
So we got closer
But my dad loved me for being myself .

Lets just say that i have cut my father out of my life and not spoken to him in almost 10 years and i will never speak to that man again, as far as i am concerned he is dead.
So i like my mother more.

She realized it. So we got closer But my dad loved me for being myself . Yea.. That happened in my familtly too, Enigma. My grandmother favored my uncle and was cold towards my mom, something even I noticed as a kid. When I was a kid I felt like my mom did the same, but the truth is that I was more difficult than my brother and she was just able to enjoy their relationship more. Now as adults she is closer to me than him. I would do anything for my mom. |
