If YOU drink EITHER or BOTH coffee () and/or tea ()...do YOU put in the sugar (or other natural OR artificial sweetener FIRST), OR do YOU put in the cream, milk, half-and-half OR some non-diary substitute FIRST? If you ONLY use one and NOT the other this DOESN'T apply to you. Natural sweetener (although sometimes I use sugar and sometimes artificial sweetener) FIRST. Then I pour in the milk (although when I have it I use half-and-half, which IS my PREFERENCE to use). I don't use full cream (except extremely rarely).

For some reason, I put in the Sweet & Low first. Then, I put in a heaping spoonful of the Coffeemate (because I'm lactose intolerant).
Then again, I'm not good with cheese. However, I think I'm good with liquid milk. However, I don't really want to test that theory out, though.

Sweet 'n Low (the best-tasting sweetener) first, then powdered creamer--Half and Half is too sour, and those flavored creamers are too sickeningly sweet and make the coffee taste like candy. The liquid creamers also cool down the coffee too much. Then pour in the coffee.

Sugar first of course. The heat of the black coffee melts it better.
Then I add half n' half. I don't use milk because it's too thin. I don't use artificial creamers because I've looked at the ingredients on the label. It's made from emulsified vegetable oil, yuck! I ALWAYS (unless I make a MISTAKE) and put the sweetener in first so that the HEAT MELTS it BETTER as YOU say (type, actually).

Always pour tea first, only. This gives the drinker the option of adding sugar or milk (but never cream with tea).

I only drink tea.
I put in raw sugar and a teabag, and then pour in the water. Or, if it's loose tea, the sugar and the tea ball.
Tea has to steep a while prior to adding milk/half-and-half because the dairy will stop it from properly steeping.
