I want to finish the last two sections of my Thames walk this year but, as they’re located over in the far West of London, I have to wait and hope travel restrictions are lifted before I die of old age. But this YouTube chap has allowed me to have a small virtual wander around.

I use Google Earth to check out places that I’d like to wander around eventually. Google Earth is also great for checking out people’s gardens (roof gardens get me really excited).

The virtual walks I am doing are for exercise basically, but I do love trees so I choose the forest trails. There are some great ones on youtube.

Foreign cities are especially intriguing.

GameBoy brings things down to his level once again. You mean I amped it up to a higher level. Nah, part of the fun of Google Earth is finding places that you didn’t know existed even though you have walked past them and if the area is supported by the 3D option it makes exploration even better. Of course if you really want to see naked people you could just save time and go look at the nudist beaches.
