Following SB LI, it sure looks like it. Unless you were a hater, curled up in the fetal position, catatonic, laying in a puddle of your own urine, it was hard to miss the flood of adulation directed at Brady by everyone ... and I mean, everyone. Players, coaches, analysts, commentators, sports writers ... It didn't matter if you were watching TV, cruising the Internet, listening to the radio, or browsing through the news stand. They were all saying the same thing. Brady is the undisputed GOAT! It went on for days, weeks even. It was pretty freakin' cool.
So ... now that the dust has settled a bit, here's the question. Is there anyone still clinging to the notion that Brady is not the GOAT? I'm talking about someone with legit sports credentials ... someone whose opinion can be taken seriously. Of course, traumatized Internet crybabies do not apply. I haven't seen any opposing viewpoints in the media. It looks unanimous to me!

It's my opinion that no one can be crowned GOAT until they retire.

Ordained? Like some kind of hokey ceremony? No... But is he the GOAT? Yes...you'd have to be some kind of delusional, cherry-picking hater to say otherwise.

Yea, he's the GOAT.
5 Super Bowl wins, his playoff record.....fn incredible. While yea, Montana went 4 for 4....Brady went 5 for 7, and made it to three more super bowls, AND, he has an amazing chance to go to another AND win another ring.
If he wins another ring.....wtf can you say? He's the GOAT, 2nd is Montana...3rd Im so torn, Ill go Elway.
Manning (Peyton) is up there. Marino is imho the best QB without a ring.

Of course, traumatized Internet crybabies do not apply. I haven't seen any opposing viewpoints in the media. It looks unanimous to me! Brady has been ordained the GREATEST CHEATER EVER. At least 4 championships tainted by cheating and have an asterisk. And the 5th one is still pending. It took 6+ years to uncover the cheating in SpyGate so it's possible that there was also cheating in the 5th championship that still hasn't been uncovered yet.
But regardless, thanks to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals, history will forever see Brady as a cheater and a fraud. History is always written by the winning side. If the British had won the Revolutionary War, then our history books would say that Benedict Arnold was a hero and George Washington was a traitor. But the Colonies won the Revolutionary War so our history books say that George Washington was a hero and Benedict Arnold was a traitor.
Similarly, Goodell and the NFL won in court and Brady lost in court. So the history books will say that Brady is a cheater and a fraud. Just as everyone today remembers Shoeless Joe Jackson for the Black Sox Scandal a century ago, future generations of sports fans will remember Brady for SpyGate and DeflateGate and being the biggest cheater in NFL history.

Nope, he's the GOAT.
Nope, went to so many sites, I see no asterisk, therefore, null and void.
5 rings, no asterisk, GOAT.
Nope, only you. Notice most people here call him the GOAT, sorry, just you.
5 rings, Brady IS the winning side.
Not relevant at all to this topic.
Brady, 5 rings, no asterisk. You can yell, scream, complain, in the end....he is the GOAT.
Nope, just like there is no asterisk, you will, and youll be all alone.
Nope, he will be the Michael Jordan of QBs. You can say anything you want, but no one agrees with you, sadly. Actually, when you agree with someone youre usually told,"please dont agree with me."

I figure I'll give it a couple more days. If nobody can come up with someone* who hasn't jumped on the Tom Brady GOAT bandwagon after that historic and record breaking performance in SB LI, then I think we can close the book on this argument for good. Like I mentioned in the OP, it appears to be a unanimous consensus throughout the sports media.
* someone with legit sports credentials ... someone whose opinion can be taken seriously. ... Players, coaches, analysts, commentators, sports writers.

Greatest cheater ever? No, he's not even the best at that.

The narrator refers to Brady as the greatest QB of all time in the NFL-produced Super Bowl LI blu ray, so that's where the league stands on the matter.

You mean the way it took all those years to uncover the fact that all 4 of Montana's wins are tainted by cheating since his lineman and HOF receiver have admitted to using an illegal foreign substance to give them an advantage?

Definitively, no.
Otto Graham ( easily the real GOAT ) won 7 title games ( including 5 in a row )
Bart Starr won 5 title games ( including 3 in a row )
And Joe Montana never lost one.

he will be the Michael Jordan of QBs. Nope, you keep forgetting that Michael Jordan was never found guilty by the NBA for cheating and never suspended by the NBA for cheating. Brady was officially found guilty by the NFL for cheating and suspended by the NFL for cheating. I get that you Brady fanboys want to pretend that SpyGate and DeflateGate never happened since those 2 cheating incidents put a huge taint on Brady's championships. But that would be like taking a U.S. history course and pretending that slavery never happened in the U.S. But even though slavery was something that should've never happened in the U.S., we can't just pretend that I never happened. Likewise, at least 4 of Brady's championships were won by cheating so we can't just pretend that SpyGate and DeflateGate never happened. The fact is SpyGate and DeflateGate did happen and the fact is Brady did cheat to win in at least 4 of his championships so at least 4 of Brady's championships are tainted by cheating and have asterisks and Brady will always be remembered as the biggest cheater and fraud in NFL history. Actually, most of the country outside New England agrees with me that Brady is a cheater and agrees with me that at least 4 of Brady's championships are tainted by cheating.

There appears to be a reading comprehension problems among some of the haters. This topic isn't about your opinion. Your opinion is worthless. This topic is about the people whose have an opinion of value. Players, coaches, analysts, commentators, sports writers. I thought I was quite clear on this. I said it twice.
These are the folks that people listen to. These are the folks who know something about NFL football. These are folks who will determine how Tom Brady will go down in history. Not the bitter dreks of the internet. This might be a shocking revelation to some people ... History ... is written by ... writers! (gasp!) And sports writers across the country appear to be in agreement that Tom Brady is the undisputed GOAT. You disagree? It makes you sad? Here's a dime. Call someone who cares.
It's been 24 hours ... over 100 views of this topic ... and no one has been able to answer my question. Here, I'll repeat it ...
Is there anyone still clinging to the notion that Brady is not the GOAT? I'm talking about someone with legit sports credentials
If you're going to just regurgitate the same failed arguments that were mercilessly mocked on the IMDB forum prior to SB LI, please, regurgitate somewhere else.
If everyone else thinks Tom Brady is the greatest ever, then he is. It's that simple. The sooner you come to terms with that fact, the sooner you can begin on the road to recovery.

You could try to do that without expressing your worthless opinion.

You really need a violin playing when you post. It's to a point no one takes you seriously.
Who cares, he has won 5 super bowls, you just are a Dallas fanboy. Here is the thing, Im a Houston fan. I can say,"we lost to the champs." No shame in that. Your team cant say that, you lost to GB, who lost to Atlanta. Good job!
No asterisk, therefore, no point.
Link there asterisks. I went to super bowl sites, wikipedia, etc, I cant find an asterisk. You can scream all day, it's just screaming.
Sure, people hate the best, people are haters, like you. You hate NE has surpassed your team. Youre a fanboy though, again, Im not. IM ACTUALLY OBJECTIVE. I am a Houston fan, no doubt, but not a fan boy.
I want Harden to win the MVP so badly, but Westbrook, even though I think his stats are BS, deserves the MVP. (That hurts to say, lol).
I think my Houston Texans are a QB away, and after the draft, hearing what people gotta say, and doing my research, I like this kid. He has potential, doing my research finally, I think he was the best QB. Man, Cleveland now owns our first and 2nd round picks for next year, ouch.
Agreed. Excellent post! The OP just got owned!
No one got "owned." This is all opinion based. Someone can say,"FU guys, Marino is the best QB." Now Marino never got a ring, he's in my top 10 QBs. In the end, it's his opinion. That is @presidentackbaropinion, and it's all good. Literally someone can say,"No, Philip Rivers is superior to Brady" and youd probably be like,"OWNAGE." There is no right or wrong in this man. Stop pretending there is.
Otto/Montana/
Im trying to be serious, youre getting to a point no one is taking you seriously. You hate Brady, cool, I know a lot of people that do. A lot of people will at least admit he is a top 5 QB, I doubt you'd admit that.
I got it: Brady > Montana > Elway
My top 3.
