It's a pretty simple, straightforward question. I can only imagine why some of you are having such a difficult time comprehending it. I didn't ask you to watch or read all the "experts". I asked if anyone knew of any "expert" who still clung to the notion that someone other than TB is the GOAT, after he crushed it in SB LI. Well? ... do you? ... and if you must wait until Tom Brady retires before considering him for GOAThood, all that means is that you're going to be way late to the party. It's not like anyone else is going to surpass him in the next few years. |

I answered the question in your thread title not the body of your post so stop the foolishness, OK? I usually watch Cowherd and sometimes Undisputed and those guys have always been Team Brady. I don't pay attention to much else until it gets closer to the season. |

It's like Robert Kraft and the Patriots. When Ted Wells was hired as the independent investigator to conduct the independent investigation into DeflateGate, Robert Kraft publicly praised Wells for his independence and integrity. But when Wells didn't give Kraft the verdict that Kraft wanted, the Patriots created a website and publicly attacked Wells' integrity and dragged Wells' name through the mud just because they didn't like the verdict that Wells came back with.
DumbGumby proves that Patriots fans are really dumb. Take zoilus aka schacko. On IMDb, schlacko used to post the same BS over and over again about how a dozen scientists disagreed with the Wells Report. Except that all of those scientists' opinions are invalid and worthless because none of them were willing to come forward and testify for Brady at the Arbitration hearing and subject their analysis to the scrutiny of cross-examination.
Someone who is accused of wrongdoing has the right to question (or have their lawyer question) any witnesses against him in court. But it also works the other way. The prosecution also gets to question any witnesses for the defense in court. At Brady's Arbitration hearing, Professor Marlow (the Physics professor and former Chairman of the Department of Physics at Princeton who confirmed the Wells Report findings) appeared at the hearing and gave Brady's lawyers a chance to cross-examine his analysis (and Brady's lawyers couldn't debunk his analysis at all), but none of the scientists who claimed that the Wells Report was incorrect ever came forward and give the NFL the chance to cross-examine their analysis. Why not? Because those scientists knew their analysis was flawed and would be debunked under the scrutiny of cross-examination.
What schlacko doesn't understand is that by not coming forward and giving the NFL the chance to cross-examine them, the opinions of those scientists can't be accepted as evidence and must be dismissed. It would be similar to if O.J.'s best friend held a press conference before O.J.'s trial and said O.J. was innocent because he was with me at the time of the murders. But if that alibi witness won't appear in court to say that (and give the prosecution a chance to cross-examine him), then that alibi can't be used in court so Johnnie Cochran can't say in court "we have an alibi witness who says O.J. was with him at the time of the murders". If he won't testify in court (and subject his testimony to cross-examination), then his testimony must be dismissed and not considered evidence at all.
Same with the scientists who claimed the Wells Report was incorrect. None of them came forward to testify for Brady (and subject their analysis to cross-examination) so their analysis must be dismissed and not considered at all. That means the ONLY scientific analysis that can be considered in DeflateGate is that of Professor Marlow, who came forward and confirmed the Wells Report findings and gave Brady's lawyers a chance to cross-examine him. And since Brady's lawyers failed to debunk Professor Marlow's analysis, that confirms that Brady was indeed guilty of cheating in DeflateGate and thus Brady's legacy is forever tainted by cheating.

What we all witnessed after SB LI was no less than a nationwide public coronation.
King Brady! - the greatest QB to ever play the game! Stamped, sealed and approved by the national sports media.
Now that that's settled (and it really is over), the conversation can turn to the question of whether TB has yet to ascend to Michael Jordan territory. Is Tom Brady as dominant a figure in football as MJ was in basketball? Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that those conversations have already begun. Some say yes, some say no. Personally, I think it's going to require a 6th ring to seal that deal. See me this time next year.

The Title was to draw people in, nothing more, nothing less. That being said, this type of topic basically invites opinions. Marsexplorer does get credit for eventually getting round to addressing the subject of this thread. Actually, he is the only one to do so. Is there anyone still clinging to the notion that Brady is not the GOAT? I'm talking about someone with legit sports credentials ... someone whose opinion can be taken seriously. Like AH/DC pointed out, Mars said no, he hasn't heard of anyone. Everyone he listens to are big TB fans. Presumably, they were all enthusiastic participants in the nationwide GOAT coronation following SB LI. Somehow AH/DC managed to even screw that up. A special kind of stupid, indeed. |
