Can you envision a scenario where Wentz gets hurt again - Jalen comes in and lights it up taking them deep into the playoffs - and this time Wentz doesn't get his job back the following season - unlike last time with Foles?
Or if Jalen shows flashes the sporadic time he gets.
Going into the 2022 season - the Eagles decide to make a change as Wentz either underwhelmed or continues to rack up nagging injuries. Eagles in turn trade Wentz - saving a lot of money and gaining a few assets.

Unless Wentz gets taken up in the rapture it’s not happening.

I don't think it will happen but I'm intrigued just by watching him with the Sooners this past year.
Especially with all of these speedy receivers we just got.
I'm thinking Lamar JacksonV2.0

It’s not a criticism of Hurts, he may end up being decent, it’s just that I don’t see Wentz losing his job. He may get hurt again but the job is his upon return.

Give the reigns back to Wentz the next year just like they did after Foles won the Super Bowl?

Here’s the thing, I love and will forever be grateful to Nick Foles, outside of the Super Bowl and NFC championship (and that random 7 touchdown game) he’s not a light it up kind of QB. I’m not a religious man but he must have been touched by the hand of God for those two games. I think Hurts would have to play at a Russell Wilson level to force their hand that way and even then I’d wager even money on them keeping Wentz and trading Hurts for a boatload of draft picks.

Old saying in sports - You shouldn't lose your starting job just because you lost it to injury.
And I've always agreed with that in a sense.
I think trading Foles was the right decision and have always defended it.
It's Carson's team.
But I just question if it does happen again - and Jalen lights it up - I'm curious if the fans will start to turn on Carson - there's already a small contingent who believe we never should have gotten rid of Foles.
Carson goes out again to injury and is lost for the season - and Jalen lights it up - I think it's going to be hard to put Carson right back in there the following year.
Not saying any of this will happen - but it's an intriguing situation.
