make you feel depressed.
I've asked before and I've watched a good number, or have already seen some of the movies that were recommended, but sadly none of them did that.
I want to watch a movie, in English, that will do that. Please help. 😉

Why the hell would anyone WANT to truly feel depressed?
with that said... I am sure there are some movies here and there that might get inline with that a bit but none are really worth mentioning.

Mother didn't do that at all and it was a weird as f*** movie. The one to watch by that director is Requiem for a Dream. That one will do it.

Funny Games (2007) and Martyrs (2008) are both very hopeless films. Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom is another one. All three of these should successfully ruin your month, if not longer.

Life Is Beautiful (1997) They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) Requiem for a Dream (2000)
lol. That's funny. I mentioned Requiem for a Dream in a reply after someone mentioned Mother. I do like foreign movies, I won a few, but when looking for movies that will make me feel depressed, I'm hoping for movies with no subtitles. I'll look into They Shoot Horses, Don't They?. Thank you.

Funny Games, the original, is suppose to be the good one, but I don't want to feel depressed in that kind of way. That's more of a disturbed feeling.

Well. I know it's weird, but I feel the most comfortable when I am depressed because, well, that's how my life is for the most part.

Have you seen, Manchester by the Sea (2016)? I have and I really thought that one would be one to do that for me, I was hoping it would, but sadly it bored me. And Casey sadly never changed emotions. He was always acted the exact same. Maybe I'll give it another try.

Also, The Sea of Trees (2015). That one I've never seen, but I liked the summary of it. I will look into that one. Thank you.

I was hoping for real life stories and what not.

It's a drama about Depression (Kirsten Dunst is very good in it) but it's main theme is Sci-fi (The Planet Melancholia being visible from earth) it does however have some dream-like sequences that could be considered fantasy.

I would just throw this one movie out to mention: running on empty. Based on the user reviews on imdb. This film might be a recommendation. But then again you might have already seen it.
