Do you think it's going to be a huge event ?

This is the first I've heard about it. I rarely watch network tv anymore. Will the Twitter Mafia terrorize CBS to censor scenes they deem "problematic" to a few hundred wackos?

Why watch a movie that will be chock full of commercial interruptions and edited for content when I own the Blu-Ray?

They air those movies on television practically every other week. Probably not.

I have no reason to watch it.
It’s routinely available without commercials in streaming.
It’s one of my all time favorites btw.

Doesn't the Paramount network regularly air it? I think it even just did so recently.

I found this: The import is with it airing on CBS, friends and family can all watch these films at the same, because almost everyone has broadcast TV, time having viewing parties. Good point. This could bring back the nation wide communal viewing experience to some extent.

The notice doesn't say anything about commercial interruptions or editing for time or content. I took a solemn vow several decades ago to never watch a theatrically released movie on a former broadcast network for just those reasons. Sorry, I will not be tuning in.

Chances are it will be more edited for time and content than on the Paramount network which has more freedom with those things.

I wish they'd bring back vintage TV movies and old shows from the past instead.

I'll probably check it out. I have them all on Blu-ray but it might be fun to watch it on network TV. Last time I did something like that outside of the Ten Commandments was 20+ years ago.

Why watch a movie that will be chock full of commercial interruptions and edited for content when I own the Blu-Ray? This, or every other place it is available to watch any time someone wants to watch it. All 4 Indiana Jones movies are on Netflix at the moment.
