I'm watching it now. It's back to an old tradition when network TV used to do this.
And it will work, because there are a lot of people who can't really fit the expense and headache of cable and Netflix and those "headache" entities into their budget. It works because antenna TV works today in a way it didn't work 30 years ago.
This will be bigger than a lot of people think. Not with the "rich kids" crowd, but with the working stiffs who make minimum wage. Advertisers may not think it that big, but some ad men will see the potential.

One question: Why is it now being called "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" instead of "Raiders of the Lost Ark"? The title of the film in the movie still says "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

I think when the box set of movies came out on DVD and later bluray Spielberg added that to the title.

I wonder if all the guns will be digitally replaced with walkie-talkies.

This is the first I've heard about it. I rarely watch network tv anymore. Will the Twitter Mafia terrorize CBS to censor scenes they deem "problematic" to a few hundred wackos? Wouldn't be surprised if conservatives find a reason to accuse it of being an attack on America and/or Christianity.

The re-title began when the series recieved its first VHS Widescreen release in 1999. I figured they wanted to include the title like the two sequels. I remember one response joking that Lucas might be special-editioning the series. To paraphrase: "As long as he doesn't add Jar Jar Binks to the film, I'm for it." And I did watch the broadcast.

Saw this earlier. I was hoping it would be some of the classics, but I suppose Moana, etc. will entice more viewers.
