What was unexpected about that ? The only way Titanic would have an unexpected ending would be having the boat not sink.

Maybe he means the "reunited ghosts" scene.
Speaking of Titanic, which has Eric Braedan, the ending of Colossus the Forbin Project is pretty surprising too.
I need to see Sleepaway Camp. Keep hearing about that one.
