All returning characters in Doctor Sleep, simply put this movie should have never been made. Really shitty fanfic writing that doesn't understand anything about what made Kubrick's film work.
You know the Shining and Doctor Sleep were novels written by Stephen King right?
Of course, but since Doctor Sleep the movie especially attempts to tie itself to Kubrick's movie, it should have also made an attempt to understand what made that movie tick. Instead the ghosts of Overlook simply pop out in ghost train fashion. They are not "ghosts", but pop culture icons that are shown simply because the audience wants to see them. Wendy and Jack could have well been left out, or shown differently. I think the movie would have been better without any Kubrick references, or they could have made it a sequel to The Shining TV mini series...
