I think she could make a comeback. Strangely perhaps, I can visualize her being cast for a movie which takes place in Victorian times. You know, those lovely pre-Global Warming times when people wore a lot more clothes and everyone wore a hat.
And I didn't think "The Island of Dr. Moreau" was that bad, although it did have a few problems. I saw the 1970's version. Never read the book or saw the 1930's version.
With regard to "The Craft," I remember it being reported that she was messing around with witchcraft in real life. Who knows? Maybe it hurt her career, and maybe not.
The part I liked the best is when she commented on the absence of morals and integrity among the Hollywood elite. Yes, it was a bizarre and counterproductive move, like biting the hand that feeds her, to which I say good for her. Bite that hand. The Hollywood elite are garbage. They are slime.

She looked her age in that 'Island of Dr. Moreau' documentary from 2 or 3 years ago.

I think she's a fine actress. It's the luck of the draw that she got the bad girl look and the exotic eyes. So they're always going to want her to be a witch or a vampire. But yeah, I can also see her in period pieces. As a teenager she played a naive virgin in Valmont. A few years after that she was pretty good as a street prostitute, just one of the quirky characters in the underrated Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead.

Wild. A few years ago my nephew gave me a Warren Zevon CD with a song by that title. I listened to it over and over again before I finally lost it. Maybe it's still in the house somewhere. I had heard of the movie before that, and I'm guessing the song inspired the movie, but sometimes it's the other way around.

I don't think the lyrics are connected to the movie, though.
