Doesn't matter. He won Wimbledon and that's the only thing that counts.

He needs to step it up, he's bringing shame on the title of World No. 1.

No shame in losing to Thiem on clay. It's his overall dramatic drop that is more troubling.

And Nadal wins the title in Barcelona for the 10th time in 13 years! I wonder if he can do the same at Roland Garros in a few weeks. No men has won the singles title at a Grand Slam tournament 10 times (Margaret Court won the Australian Open 11 times).

Congrats to Rafa for his second La Decima! Hope he makes it to the most important La Decima -- a Grand Slam event ( Roland Garros)!
Will Rafa and Roger be in another Wimbledon classic, as they were in that " match of the century" in 2009? Will they have chances to reach top ranking this year? Both have only few points to defend for the rest of the year and Andy/Novak/Stan/Kei are not in good form! Are Milos and Grigor goingto join them? Which NextGen tennis stars will join these players in the top rankings by end of year, to play in the end-of-year event? Thiem seems like a solid candidate? Goffin? Kyrgios?
Quite a few players now shaping up to have solid games in all surfaces!

Photo gallery over the years showing Rafa Nadal on his way to his 2 La Decima ( Monte Carlo and Barcelona) -- What is the secret of the truly great tennis stars ? Skills and strength/sense of competitiveness/sense of history?
