just realised no The Mission - close to my number 1. tbh i did pause when i saw that on the list of his compositions..and I just could not recollect the score.. i could have youtubed the score I guess but that opens up a rabbit hole that would end up making these polls take 10 times as long to prepare, so i just go by memory/impact

just realised no The Mission - close to my number 1. My first thought, too... I found the film only so-so but the score is magnificent, one of the most beautiful ever. Once Upon a Time in America is on the same level... gorgeous music.
