produced by Steven Spielberg. was one of my favorites as a kid. There’s just something about it that feels “cozy”, if you know what I mean. Watching it feels like the walk home from elementary school in late October when it’s starting to get kinda dark. also the score is fantastic

Yeah, I've always liked it, too.
Good cast and the effects were decent.
Great Horner score.

I remember the Pizza Hut glow-in-the-dark stuff. Also, wow, Cathy Moriarty was in her early 30's in this - Thought she was older.

This was on my rotation as a kid. I think partly because of Christina Ricci and that blonde girl who's also in Milk Money.

Did you know there's fan theories that Casper is actually the ghost of Richie Rich?

Did you know there's fan theories that Casper is actually the ghost of Richie Rich? Harvey Comics was doing the bean shaped head thing long before modern animation made it popular. Macaulay Culkin and Devon Sawa(Who was Casper's physical form) are actually pals in real life and their bromance rivals Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds'.

They made a spin-off cartoon as well and had most of the movie characters in there, including the blonde girl(this time played up more comedically and over the top).

Wonder whatever happened to her. I think i must have watched the show at some point but don't remember.

Really liked the film back in the day. And I remember the stickers that used to come included with cereals.
Haven't seen it since Christmas 2000. It badly warrants a re-watch.
