In one of the countless billions of galaxies in the universe, lies a medium-sized star, and one of its satellites, a green and insignificant planet, is now dead.

It's a long-forgotten installment in the series that lies in the shadows of its iconic predecessor and the following sequels and the reboot trilogy. The film wasn't too terrible and Charlton Heston had a great cameo.

A very enjoyable, if rather campy, sequel that's by far the second best entry in the original Planet of the Apes series. Not in the same league as the 1968 film, of course, but still a lot of fun.
